It looks like about a half dozen or so comments that were made since Wednesday won't be coming back. For those of you who made those comments, trust me that they weren't moderated or deleted by me. Many of you fellow bloggers know that Blogger got a little funky for a day or two, operating in "read-only" mode there for a while, even sending things here back to the old color scheme and header of recent weeks after I'd changed it all. Whatever maintenance Blogger was doing seems to have sentenced some comments to drift aimlessly out in cyberspace somewhere. I'd hoped they would pop back up, but it seems they won't.
My apologies to those of you who submitted comments that have disappeared.

Lewis, if you get notified by email when comments are posted, you may be able to retrieve some/all of them from your email trash/archives. I was able to find most of my blog's missing comments that way.
